About the performers: 

Chanse Morris: 

Chanse Morris, clarinetist, currently performs and teaches in the greater Houston area. He enjoys collaborating with other artists and is an advocate of new music. Chanse recently graduated from the Eastman School of Music receiving his Master of Music in Clarinet Performance and Literature. This past summer, he was a finalist for the 2020 International Clarinet Association’s Young Artist Competition. Previously, he was awarded second prize in the 2019 Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition and performed substitute clarinet with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. A native Texan, Chanse attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he receivedhis Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While there, he performed frequently in the UT- Austin Wind Ensemble under the direction of Jerry Junkin. Throughout his education, Chansehas had the opportunity to play for several well-known clarinetists such as Andrew Marriner,Steve Cohen, Alan Kay, and Michael Wayne. His primary teachers include Kenneth Grant and Jonathan Gunn.

Julio Robles: 

Julio César Robles López was born in Mexico City on February 27, 2002. He started his guitar studies in 2010 at the School of Artistic Initiaion No. 3 from the National Institute of Fine Arts. In 2014, he joined at the National Conservatory of Music, in Mexico City, and continued his studies with professor Juan Carlos Chacón. He has taken Suzuki Method courses with Zeah Riordan and Mary Lou Roberts, and master classes with Mauro Zanatta, Manuel Espinás, Louis Trépanier, Owen Moriarty, Jonathan Leathwood, Judicaël Perroy, Xavier Jara, Goran Krivokapić, as well as Leo Brouwer and Jorge Caballero. In 2019, he was accepted at École Supérieure Musique et Danse Hauts-De-France to continue his education with professor Jüdicael Perroy.
